Cedar Grove
Located approximately 12 miles west of Midtown Manhattan, Cedar Grove is a total of 4.3 square miles and features shopping, transportation and recreation.
Hilltop Reservation is a Nature Preserve with over 200 acres, located in Cedar Grove, Verona, and North Caldwell. The Hilltop Conservancy works to restore wildlife habitat on former demolition sites, parts of the Reservation have been certified by the National Wildlife Federation as a “Wildlife Habitat.”This park contains a segment of the 36-mile Lenape Trail, a unique urban/suburban trail connecting 18 parks and 11 municipalities in Essex County.
Comprised of 77 acres, Cedar Grove Community Park is the fourth largest park in the Essex County parks system. The park features the Robert J. O’Toole Community Center, four bocce courts, a farm themed playground area and three fitness stations along meandering walking paths. There are also entrances to the Lenape Trails which are popular for running, biking and walking. The Essex County Free Summer Music Concert Series offers a diverse lineup of performers that will have you dancing in the summer breeze.
The Cedar Grove Schools are a community public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade.
